Bio-based and Biodegradable Materials and Their Applications
The scope of this symposium includes the synthesis, characterization, and applications of bio-based materials derived from renewable biological resources or living matter either naturally or synthetically. The bio-based materials may be obtained from renewable agricultural and forestry feedstocks such as crops, woods, wastes, cottons, and fibers. Also covered are topics dealing withbiodegradable materials which are decomposed environmentally by natural elements such as water, oxygen and radiation, as well as those decomposed biologically by bacteria or natural living microorganisms.
